Concept art

Polygone Rogue is a top-down shooter set inside a circular arena. You pilot a low-poly starfighter against waves of enemies, and every bullet you miss sticks in the wall. Clear the round and those stuck bullets turn evil and hunt you down. Aim well, or survive your own mess.

Between levels you walk into a shop to spend the credits you earned, and up to four friends can join on the same screen with gamepads. The game was rewritten from scratch in Rust for maximum performance: it ships as a single executable of a few megabytes and keeps a steady frame rate even when the screen is full of projectiles.

Polygone Rogue is coming to Steam. Join the launch list below and we’ll let you know as soon as the store page is live.

Features

What's inside

  • Your misses come back for you

Bullets that miss stick in the arena wall. Clear the round and they turn evil and chase you down, so every wasted shot becomes a threat.

  • Build your loadout

Five weapons with energy and reload, 20 stackable modifiers, shields that reflect, absorb or recover, and a dash with a shockwave.

  • 28 enemies and phased bosses

Every enemy has its own movement and attack signature, and each boss fight, like the Hive Queen, plays out in distinct phases.

  • 5 levels, 25 rounds, one shop

Fight through five levels of five rounds each. Earn credits from kills and spend them in a walk-in shop between levels.

  • Special abilities

Store a special and fire it when you need it most. Nova, Decoy, Turret, Energy Wall, Black Hole, Time Warp and Wormholes all change the fight.

  • Local co-op for up to 4

Plug in gamepads and play together on one screen. Downed teammates can be revived, and the shop becomes a race.

  • Play your way

Keyboard and mouse or gamepad, with aim on the mouse or the right stick. Built in Rust as a single small executable.

  • Low-poly worlds

Menu and level backgrounds are vectorized video, redrawn as thousands of moving polygons in the game's signature style.

  • Every run, measured

A level summary shows time, kills, accuracy, wasted bullets and damage taken, and your best runs go on the local leaderboard.
